Short-form video is one of the most effective ways to grab attention and increase bookings on DropDesk. A quick walk-through or virtual tour helps potential guests instantly understand your space, visualize themselves there, and feel confident booking.

Whether you're uploading a pre-made video or recording something new on your phone, DropDesk makes it easy to add short-form video to your listing.

Quick Answer:

Log in to the DropDesk web app, go to Locations, select your venue, scroll to Add Video, upload your file (25MB max), and click Save Venue. Video uploads are only available on web, not the mobile app.

Short-form videos allow you to highlight your space's best features in just a few seconds. They:

Showcase layout, lighting, and vibe more clearly than photos alone

You can add a video to your venue listing or to specific packages, depending on what you want to highlight.

Where Videos Can Be Uploaded

At this time, short-form videos can only be uploaded through the DropDesk web app. Video uploads are not yet supported in the mobile app.

How to Add a Short-Form Video

Follow these steps to upload a video to your space:

Log in to the DropDesk web app
Navigate to the Locations tab
Select the location you want to update
Scroll down to the Add Video section and click it
Choose the video file you want to upload and click Open
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Venue

Once saved, your short-form video will be visible on the DropDesk marketplace and ready to attract more customers to your space.

Video Requirements & Tips

To ensure a smooth upload, keep the following in mind:

Videos must be 25MB or smaller
This is roughly 22 seconds when recorded on an iPhone
If your video exceeds 25MB, export it at a smaller file size or lower resolution before uploading

Best Practices for Short-Form Video

For best results:

Keep videos under 20 seconds
Start with your most visually appealing angle
Use natural light when possible
Keep the camera steady and move slowly
Focus on what makes your offer unique
