Using two monitors is a lot more convenient and makes work so much easier.  You can work on one screen and leave the other free to read and write emails- or edit videos on one and work on the other. You can even read documents on one as you summarize on the other.

Whether it’s for the office or at home, for work or school, there’s no denying that in this case, more is more.

A dual monitor stand is a great way to free up a lot of space on your desktop without compromising on functionality.  There are many options on the market, ranging from simple and basic to much more complex and higher-tech.

If you’re shopping for a dual monitor stand, start with the configuration you want.  If you have limited space, a vertical option might be best.  But, if you have the room, side-by-side options with articulated arms offer the maximum adjustment potential.

The next thing to look for is what type of base you need.  Clamp and grommet bases offer increased stability, which is good for heavier monitors, but free-standing bases let you move the whole stand quickly and easily with no effort and no tools.  Most clamps and grommets can only be installed on desks with a minimum thickness too, so you need to consider what you have in your workspace.

Next is the material.  Steel is much stronger than aluminum in most cases, but it is a lot heavier, so you have to factor that in.  Then,  consider the color.  Most stands only come in black, but there are a few white and silver options out here, so if color is a factor, you might want to add that to your search.

Make sure you choose an option that comes with a good warranty and return policy.  Some of these stands can be pricey, so if it arrives and it’s not suitable or doesn’t work for your monitors, you want to be able to return it.
